John,

One of the great examples in Mike Feldman's old book was
the sparse matrix.

I use that as an exercise in my own classes, including
my C++ class to have the students design and code an
object-oriented spreadsheet program.

Subject: [GAP] New Edition of Ada Plus Data Structures

I am happy to announce that my publisher, Jones and Bartlett, still
considers the Ada textbook market profitable. This summer I will be
working on the 2nd edition of my CS2 textbook "Ada Plus Data
Structures". The first edition was published by DC Heath just at the
time
that they were sold to Jones and Bartlett.

While mention was made of Ada 9X, all of the example code in the 1st
edition is Ada 83. So I have a lot of work to do to bring this text up
to
date. With the manuscript due at the end of the summer, I'm on a tight
schedule. So now is the time for those of you who have used this book
(or
rejected its use) to let me know what changes/additions you would like
to
see in the second edition.

John
