hello. i wonder if you can help me with the following.
in a piece of gode i got something like:

printf("whatever");
gets(buffer);

using gdb4.18 (djgpp) on win98 without gvd (just
command line default gdb interface), if i step the
prog i get the "whatever" string printed on the gdb
command line and on gets gdb waits for input. then it
takes the input and continues ok.

using with gvd (same gdb), it steps ok, can see data,
vars, etc, until it get to the printf(...) where
nothing is printed. on gets it looks like it waits for
input but if i put 'string' and hit enter nothing
happens. hit enter a few more times and again nothing
happens until i gotta interupt where it crashed the
whole system ( got to hit reset).

is there any known issue or a setting i havent
configured properly?

Emannuel - about previous post, it seems it's
overcomed now...thank you for answering. i reformated
that comp and thinks work better. that's win 98 you
know... :-)
