For widgets with user interaction typically, like entries, spinbuttons,
etc. Things you often don't need to keep a pointer to are
boxes, buttonboxes, tables, labels. But it depends of course,
to make a widget insensitive you'll still need it.

Well you should do what's most practical, not be dogmatic one way
or the other.
