[gtkada] Limit Storage Size of Gtk_Text

I want to realize a simple scrolled window containing Gtk.Text.Gtk_Text.

This window should display logging information in an application which must 
be able to run several days without being stopped. Therefore, the amount of 
data stored by the window should be limited to do not eat up all the memory.

Additionally, the window should always show the newest message.

I tried to code it yesterday but it didn't work satisfactory.

Does anybody have an example ??

Is my approach the right one to realize a scrolled logging window ?
