[gtkada] gtkada under win32 suggestion

Hi people,

I recently downloaded the gtkada for windows package, as I really wanted
to implement a cross platform version of my current university
assignment.

However, I couldn't get gate to work. The examples compiled and ran
fine
(gnat 3.13p on win98se) but gate wasn't having any of it for generating
my gui, irrespective of being called via glade or the command line -
could not create directories, unable to generate code.

I'm a great believer in the programming virtues of laziness and
impatience and I really wanted to use glade+gate rather than hand coding
the interface.

Manually searching through the mailing list I found mentions of others
with the same problem.

By being "persistent" (read stubborn b*stard) I hunted around and
finally waded through the cvs - as soon as i updated the gate.bat and
gate.sh (1.7) files, volia! Joy!

I'd like to suggest that the gtkada windows binary at
http://libre.act-europe.fr/GtkAda/GtkAda-1.3.12.exe is updated with the
above mentioned files. Also, i think an online search facility for the
gtkada mailing list archives would be useful. I've spent *hours* trying
to get the thing to work and searching for relevant info, and although
worth the effort, i'd rather not have! :-) Maybe a gtkada win 32 faq for
complete newbies would be handy?

Many thanks and respect to the gtkada team,

Pete
