Offensive might not be the appropriate term (hard to say by email,
since sometimes emotions are not mapped correctly on this media).

Henri, my best answer to your email is to remind you the welcome message
that is sent to each people when they subscribe to this list and that
sets the rules once and for all. As a small addition, open mailing list
does not mean anarchy and/or no rules. Each open mailing list has its
own rules and indeed, if people do not like these rules, they are free
to unsubscribe (how to unsubscribe is also reminded at the end of each
message sent to this list by the way).

Finally, many people appreciate this (kind of) list where the discussion
stay focussed, and would simply unsubscribe if discussions started to
diverge too much. Of course having a few messages off topic from time to
time (like this one) is fine but should not be the rule.

This is the GtkAda mailing list.

GtkAda is a complete graphical toolkit for the Ada language that comes with
a full set of high level widgets and a GUI builder. For more information
on GtkAda, please go to http://libre.act-europe.fr/GtkAda

The purpose of this list is to let GtkAda users share experience,
report problems, send patches and discuss future evolution of this toolkit.

For example, the authors of GtkAda will share on this list from time to
time the development status and future enhancements scheduled.

Note that this is an informal list where everyone is free to ask and
answer questions. Therefore, no guarantee is made on the contents of the
messages, and their accuracy.

In addition, all comments and bug reports are very welcome, but the authors
do not promise to answer or fix all reports.

If you are looking for a formal support for GtkAda, you should consider
instead contacting sales at gnat.com or sales at act-europe.fr.

Note that only text and standard mime messages are accepted on this list.
Attachments are allowed for simple text files such as Ada code or XML files.
If needed, small images showing a graphical problem might be sent but should
be avoided whenever possible.

This is an english speaking list, so please try to avoid using foreign
languages on this list, and stay focussed on subjects related to GtkAda.

Have fun!

The GtkAda team
