Thanks for the follow-up.

I did a bit of hacking and discovered that 32-bit (not 64-bit)
.NET 2.0 SDK (English or French) was enough to make it willing
to install.

I promptly uninstalled the .NET 2.0 SDK, but I made sure that both:

 C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.0\Bin\x64
 C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727

were on the PATH (this being 64-bit 2008 R2) ... I had seen some
comments from Martin Carlisle that it wanted gacutil and ilasm.

If the real requirements are that gacutil and ilasm (2.0 or higher)
be on the PATH, then a simple dialog to that effect would be nice.

So now it seems quite happy, at least for the trivial stuff that
I've tried so far.

It *is* willing to uninstall without the .NET 2.0 SDK present. :-)

PS - I tried the 2009 Darwin package on 10.6.2 ... it's not so happy.
