Subject: [gps-users] GPL 2007 and win32ada for windows

With the win32-ada-gpl-2007.exe contained in
gnat-download-2007-05-23.tar (for x86 windows), when I try to compile
any program I
get "fatal error: file win32.ali is incorrectly formatted
make sure you are using consistent versions of gcc/gnatbind
         |
    gnatmake: *** bind failed.
    process exited with status 4".
I wonder if the gcc/gnatbind used in the windows distribution is
consistent with the GPS 4.0.2 (20061211) version in the .tar file?
(1st line of win32.ali reads :V "GNAT Lib v2007")
>>

No one including me has any problem with this. In addition, this problem
has nothing to do with GPS.

With that said, it is obvious that win32Ada binding source did not
compiler with gnat-gpl-2007. Furthermore, the exact distributions are
gnat-gpl-2007-pentium-ming32msv-bin.exe and win32ada-gpl-2007.exe. The
solution is to make sure win32Ada binding for the previous GNAT should
be removed or exclude it in the PATH.
