<< If possible, could you also give a set of actions (from scratch)
reproducing
this behavior ? Remember that we know nothing about your project, so
while it may be obvious to you how to reproduce the problem you
described,
it may not be for us. >>
Here are the steps leading to the behavior reported.
1. create a C++ project named elevator. My Red Hat 8.0 server displays
4 CPUs, CPU0 to CPU3, when top command is entered. In addition, the
objects and executable reside in the same directory,
/home/crusoft/voax/c_c++/anh_vo/elevator. The sources of this project
live in a separate directory
/home/crusoft/voax/c_c++/How_To_Program/ch09/elevator. The name of
executable is ElevatorSimulation.
2. Open the ElevatorSimulation.cpp file. Then, select Build -> Make ->
ElevatorSimulation.cpp. The build successfully completed.
3. Place the cursor on the main keyword of main(). Press the right
button of the mouse. The contextual References -> main calls show up. If
contextual References -> main calls is selected, gps will stay busy for
a long time. Note that if the cursor is placed else where other than on
the main keyword, References -> main calls contextual will not show up.
By the way, the Help -> GNAT Runtime of version 20041017 breaks. It
shows a narrow window running from top to bottom.
