[gps-users] GPS and Windows 98SE

Hi,

Does GPS work with Windows 98SE?

I know the website only lists Windows NT/XP/2000, but I wondered about 98.

I downloaded GPS at the weekend and quickly ran gps.exe to test the install - 
it displayed the splash screen, told me that it had created the .gps directory 
and then offered a project open dialog. Since I had other things to do at the 
time, I just closed that window and shutdown my PC.

When I now try to run GPS, it just hangs at the splash screen. I've tried 
removing the .gps directory and even the whole gps tree and re-installing that, 
but GPS insists on hanging at the splash screen. I've searched the registry and 
tried to find out why GPS hangs, but I am at a loss.

Any ideas?
