[gps-users] GPS hangs on Win98

I installed GPS on my Win98 computer, and when started it displays the 
splash screen and does nothing else. I've tried some tactics, such as 
changing the location of c:\gps\bin in my path, but with no effect. I 
checked the archives for this list and comp.lang.ada, and seen others 
report this problem, but no solution.

Is there a solution to this, or is GPS worthless to those of us who 
encounter it?
