*Announcing the Ada Intern Program!!*

AdaCore is pleased to announce the launch of the Ada Intern Program:

a project set up as part of the Ada Academic Initiative to put 
universities in touch with AdaCore customers who are seeking specialized 
interns.

The Ada Academic Initiative was set up in July 2004 to provide 
instructors of Ada at accredited universities with direct help and 
support for teaching Ada/GNAT via the GNAT Academic Program (GAP). It 
has proved hugely popular with teachers of Ada world wide (there are 
almost 100 universities signed up to date!).

Feedback from teachers concerned about a lack of opportunity for Ada 
interns to gain work experience, has prompted AdaCore to set up the Ada 
Intern Program (AIP) - a no-cost service, open to any registered GAP 
member. It has been designed to allow you to supply information on 
students seeking internships directly to people in industry offering 
assignments for Ada-knowledgeable students.

To participate in this program, simply access your GNAT Tracker account 
and click on the new ‘Ada Intern Program (AIP)’ heading in the left-hand 
menu. You will be able to consult any intern offers supplied by AdaCore 
customers, complete a Student Intern Form or see a sample of the form 
used by customers.

The Ada Intern Program is being made available simultaneously to GAP 
members and AdaCore supported customers. For this reason, there will be 
no offers from our customers immediately! We encourage you to start 
posting now and keep a regular check on the AIP corner of GNAT Tracker…

When you complete and register a form, it will be sent to a repository 
accessed by AdaCore customers. Please note that AdaCore will play no 
role in any exchanges between universities and companies.

We welcome any feedback/suggestions to help us enhance the operational 
performance of the AIP. Please, also, remember to let us know when to 
remove obsolete forms and - very importantly - tell us about any 
internships made possible via the AIP!!
