[AWS] Inconsistent license?

That's a problem indeed. Cygwin is not easy to setup properly to be
able to use it to build non Cygwin
based applications.  I have given a recipe here some time ago IIRC.

But AWS builds using .gpr. The problem is that you need to setup and
install it, so you need to copy file
around, checking some config (is XML/Ada installed? Is ASIS
installed?...). This cannot be done with
a .gpr, so it is still needed to have a bit of makefile.

If someone can propose an easier solution that is working on Windows
*and* GNU/Linux I'm all for
it. I have with AWS at least avoided autotools which is even more
demanding for a Windows machine.

That being said I have developed AWS using Windows during at least 9
years! So one cannot say
that AWS has setup/install has not been tested :) And I continue
building AWS under WIndows
from time to time these days.
