Indeed this is not a good idea, and using spaces triggers
a lot of nuisance. But the MS-Windows standard
is to put all the executables installed in a machine
under "c:\Program Files".
So, it is a bit annoying to have
all the windows programs under "c:\Program Files" and all the Ada
stuff somewhere else. Besides "company policies"
may request that executables are indeed located here
(for various reasons,
backup directory exclusion may be one reason).
So, although not advised, it might be of interest to know that
it is feasible using the "\ " trick.
Note that I could not use the GPS (GPL 2005 edition)
toolset when there was spaces
in the directory path to my files
(located under the (not avised) location "My Documents" of course...)
and this is one reason I did
not use GPS to develop my AWS-based application).
