I'm not sure I understand your problem

GPL 2009 code is exactly the same as the code of the current repository.

One way to apply it is to open compilers/gnatdist/xe_back-polyorb, go  
to line 296
remove the line with "-", add the three lines with "+"

another option is to go to directory compilers/gnatdist, and try to  
apply the patch
