A snapshot of which branch ?
I doub tthe snapshot of gvd will be very useful, it will most likely be
confusing actually, since:

- the HEAD is currently completely untested in stand alone mode
  (it is used as part of GPS)

- the 1.2 branch is pretty much inactive at this point.
