[gvd-users] Remote debugging bandwidth

I had been using dde remotely using Reflection X. We are going to be moving
to a different location than our servers, so I was looking for a debugger
which could run on my PC, but debug stuff on the HP server. GVD looks good
(so does DDD, but I have yet to find a Win32 binary - anyone?). The question
is, am I saving much bandwidth this way, since the files are downloaded each
time anyway? Unlike a terminal screen in which only the visable portion of
the screen is downloaded, it would seem that the debugger downloads the
entire file, thus more data is being sent. Am I better off (bandwidth wise)
using NFS mounted filesystems, or RCP?
Thanks!
Dan
