Note that the version of GVD you are using comes with no warranty and no
support of any kind, so this is not something that can be guaranteed.

You may want to remove your ~/.gvd directory and see if it fixes the
problem. Alternatively, you can try building from the CVS tree, using
the gvd-1_2_2 branch
