[gtkada] Loading images from files (non-standard formats)

I need to load some images stored in a non-standard format
(PCB) into GtkAda.  Procedure Gdk.Pixbuf.Gdk_New_From_File
seems only to know common formats like JPEG and PNG.

Should I convert the files to PNG format before loading
them?  Or is it reasonably easy to put image data into a
Gdk_Pixbuf?
