I agree.  As for the timing, I would like to upload the next GtkAda in
the next couple of weeks.  This is not a hard requirement, however,
and I am willing to wait longer if you think there will be a new
version "soon".  Let's say:

subtype Soon is Number_Of_Days range 1 .. 30.

So, if you tell me there is a new GtkAda ("2.4") scheduled to be
released on or before 2004-07-17, then I will wait.  Otherwise, I will
apply Jeffrey's patch.

(If I look like I'm giving you an ultimatum, my apologies; it is not
my intention to pressure you in any way.  But you did raise the
question of timing).
