No, this version of glade has not been tested (and is using a different
XML format), so this is not surprising if it doesn't work. Contributions
welcome to make gate up-to-date with glade-2.

What works reasonably well is to use glade for Gtk 1.2 and gate from GtkAda 2.0

The reason gate isn't up to gate wrt Glade-2 is that glade is being rewritten,
and there are other GUI builder projects in progress so things are kind
of unclear at this stage between Gtk 2 and GUI builders.
