[gtkada] Gate on 98.

I encountered what I think is the same problem that Greg did (on Win2K, not
98).  I was able to fix it by replacing a line in gate.sh:

Change:

file=`cd $dir; pwd`/`basename $1`

to read:

file=`basename $1`
