Hi This problem seems to be related to the OS : Win98 and Millenium are known to be unable to start GPS (there were two messages about this problem on this forum recently). The solution seems to be the installation of Linux in order to run the Linux version of GPS. I intend to purchase Linux for this reason ! Marc.
