Hello,

Though this list hasn't been used since March 2017, I want to start a thread about sharing experiences in building GNAT Studio.

As advised by Godunko (https://github.com/AdaCore/gps/issues/118#issuecomment-857643386) I started with CE 2021 source codes provided on AdaCore Community.

README and INSTALL ask for requirements :

- A recent version of [Gtk+](http://www.gtk.org/) (currently using version 3.14)
== GTK+ 3.14.15

- An install of Python which includes [PyGObject](https://wiki.gnome.org/action/show/Projects/PyGObject) and [Pycairo](https://cairographics.org/pycairo/)
== Those components are missing on AdaCore Community.
== Q1 which Python version?
== Q2 which PyGObject version?
== Q3 which Pycairo version?

- An install of [GtkAda](https://github.com/AdaCore/gtkada)
== GTKAda CE 2021

- An install of [GNATcoll](https://github.com/AdaCore/gnatcoll), configured with support for projects and Python scripting (`--enable-project`, `--with-python=...`)
== GNATColl-Core CE 2021
== GNATColl-Bindings CE 2021
== Q4 which Python binding version?
== GNATColl-DB CE 2021 is missing on AdaCore Community.
== Q5 which GNATColl-DB version?

You need to use a recent version of the GNAT compiler (e.g. GNAT 7.4.2
or GNAT GPL 2016).
== GNAT CE 2021

Then you need to install the latest version of XML/Ada
== XMLAda CE 2021

Could please share your experience and component versions?
However It would be nice to get little support from AdaCore staff.

Thanks, Pascal.
