Dear GAP Member,

To celebrate GAP's first birthday and the start of the new academic
year, we are launching GAP News Flash! This letter, designed to bring
you info on events, new GAP features, updates, reminders, etc, will be
distributed via the GAP Community Mailing List three times a year at
the start of each school term. We hope you'll find it useful and
informative!
Do let me have any comments and suggestions so we can be sure to include
any news items you would like to see.

Wishing you every Ada success in your teaching.

Louise Arkwright
Academic Program Manager

The GNAT Academic Program- 1 year old!

be popular on the computer science curriculum.

The Ada Intern Program

This new initiative, aimed at putting GAP Member universities in touch
with industry looking for Ada-knowledgable interns, will be launched in
the coming month. You will be able to post details such as which of
your students are seeking an internship and during which period(s) they
are available via GNAT Tracker. AdaCore customers will be able to
reach you directly to provide information on internships within their
organisation.

GAP Member Contributions

At the start of this academic year, please don't hesitate to submit your
Ada course descriptions and material as well as any other tools and
examples. Remember to check out the Contributions Section on GNAT
Tracker regularly. We have recently included links to newly-published
books and invite you to let us know of any books you feel worthy of
inclusion. It is important that this integral part of GAP is sustained
by regular input from all members!

GAP Member Web Pages

A message was recently circlulated to you requesting supplementary
information about Ada courses and more generally about your
university. Once posted, this info will be accessed by clicking your
university's name on the GAP Member list on the AdaCore Academia web
pages and in one step will lead to a page giving full individual details
on your course/university. Thanks to all who have responded. We're
sure the rest of the input is on its way....

Annual Renewal

GAP Membership is renewable on an annual basis. The simple renewal
process requires you to print out the GAP Agreement, date, sign and fax
it back to the AdaCore offices. If you have received a request to
renew, please check you have sent the form back to ensure your
continued access to the GNAT Academic Program!!
