It does mean you don't have misconfigured software on your machine.

There's a similar potential problem for users with gnatcoll.xref (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/44706053/gnat-gpl-2017-gnatcoll-xref-disappeared <https://stackoverflow.com/questions/44706053/gnat-gpl-2017-gnatcoll-xref-disappeared>).

Of course my approach is no good if you don't have write access to the installation (e.g. on a shared machine) or if you want to keep the installation updateable, as would apply with Debian.
