I can't reproduce with httperf either, but it is worth noting that
httperf is in _no_
way pushing the demo hello_world server as hard as ab is.
With ab I'm getting well over ~22K requests per second. With httperf
I'm getting,
at best, 16K. That's a huge difference, and it might explain why I don't see the
problem with httperf.
Testing it from a remote machine, httperf is so slow, compared to ab,
it's not even
worth mentioning the results.
I've googled around (a lot!) and found this:
