[AWS] Only SSL??

Next, I notice that when I run a non-SSL build under the debugger, an
exception handler is producing an intimidating message:

  Slot problem has been detected!
  Exception name: PROGRAM_ERROR
  Message: You should compile AWS with SSL support.

Is this an indication that std builds are invalid in 1.0?
